Environmental Aspects of Flood Management
UCC Water has participated in an expertgroup on Environmental Aspects
of Integrated Flood Management, as a contribution to the Assiociated
Program on Flood Management of the World Meteorological Organisation.
The final report has now been published and is available via the APFM
website. The publication is primarily directed to flood managers,
to enable them to understand the range of environmental issues involved
in flood management. At the same time, it provides useful information
for policy makers, environmental groups, NGOs and communities, to help
them to understand flood risks in relation to environmental concerns and
sustainable development.
